Website Privacy Policy

Introduction

ARC (‘we’ or ‘us’) is an organisation set up by Alchemmy Consulting, Dogf.ish Mobile and London First.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is for ARC and governs the privacy of users who choose to access it. We take a proactive approach to protecting the privacy of our users when visiting ARC or communicating electronically with us. This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms & Conditions, outlines our and your obligations and requirements. It also explains how we process, store and protect any personal data that you provide, or we collect, when you visit the ARC webite (‘the Website’). We may update this Policy from time to time, so please review it on a regular basis. Your continued use of ARC means that you accept and agree to the changes.

Your Privacy Responsibilities

Take sensible measures to protect your own privacy:

Use of Cookies

What are Cookies?

As is common practice with most professional websites, ARC uses ‘cookies’ – tiny files downloaded to your computer. Cookies track, save and store information about the user’s interaction with the website, enabling providers to improve their services and deliver a tailored experience.

Disabling Cookies

In accordance with relevant legislation, the Website has a cookie control system, which allows users to decline cookies on their device. To disable cookies, you can adjust the privacy settings on your web browser. However, be aware that disabling cookies may affect certain functionality and features of the Website.

How We use Cookies

If you communicate with us for any reason, or create an account, we will use cookies to aid the registration process and general administration. These cookies will usually be deleted when you log out, but some may remain to retain your preferences on the Website, so it works in your preferred way the next time you log in. Cookies are used to note that you are logged in, so you can access restricted features, and browse from page to page without repeated log-ins.

Third Party Cookies

We also use cookies provided by some trusted third parties. ‘Google Analytics’ helps us track and understand how you use the Website, so we can improve your experience. The Website provides social sharing buttons and plugins that enable you to connect with your social media platforms, and may contribute to your profile or other data they hold for various purposes, as outlined in their own privacy policies. See Social Media below.

Contact, Communication & Third Parties

Users contact us at their own discretion and provide any requested personal information at their own risk. We take every reasonable precaution to secure personal data, but please be aware that the transmission of information via the Internet is never completely secure, therefore we cannot guarantee the security of any information sent to us electronically. Certain identification details (e.g. name and email address) may be required as part of our security procedures if you choose to communicate with us or to register; it is always your decision whether or not to disclose personal data, although if you elect not to do so, this may restrict the features or areas you can access on the Website. To enable you to contact us, every reasonable effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure email submission process, but note that you utilise such processes at your own risk. We may use data you have supplied to respond to any questions you have submitted, or to notify you about changes to the graduate, or products/services which we feel may be of interest, but only if you have consented to receive such information. We will not disclose your personal details to third parties, except (i) to the extent necessary to provide you with a requested service, or (ii) under circumstances required by law, or (iii) in connection with a sale of ARC. The Website may anonymise data about you and aggregate it with anonymised data relating to other users of the Website. This aggregated data may be provided to third parties but you will never be identifiable from such data.

Social Media

Social sharing buttons on the Website and any other social media communication is accessed at your own risk. Engaging with us via social media platforms means their servers (which are outside our control) may store your data, and it may be collected and used by others; you are therefore advised to exercise caution with regards to your privacy and personal details. (For more information, visit the relevant social media platform to read their privacy policy). Note the Website will never ask for sensitive personal information through social media platforms. If you wish to discuss sensitive details, we would encourage you to contact us by email at thearcplatform@gmail.com, or by writing to the registered address below.

Links

You access external links from the Website at your own risk. When you use third party websites and services, they will deal with any personal data you give them in line with their own privacy policies, not ours. So please check their privacy policies before providing them with information.

Storing Your Data

We store and process all your personal details in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. All sensitive personal data is encrypted and stored securely, until such time as it is no longer required. Security measures protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to access the personal information we hold about you. At our discretion, we may charge a £10 administrative fee for data requests, and you will be required to provide proof of identity. For further information, or to make a data request, please write to us at  thearcplatform@gmail.com.
